Toyah isn't impressed when Sam proposes to her at Peter and Shelley's flat warming party. She tells him to get lost and stop following her. After Sam has a go at Toyah they later make up and agree to be friends. Toyah is very pleased to see Janice return to Weatherfield and she no longer has to visit her cold Sheffield flat.

6th February -  New Georgia Interview! My Job Explained.

Georgia has given an insightful new interview with the Realising Opportunities student careers website explaining what the job of an actress is like. She talks about how to audition for roles and how she first got her part in Coronation Street. She also talks about her time filming Lewis to highlight what a typical day as an actress involves.

5th February -  9 Years Ago Today

Its 9 years ago today since Georgia's final episode of Corrie was broadcast and Toyah said her goodbyes to Les, Janice, Roy, Hayley and Fiz and headed off to London in Spider's Juice Bar van. On that day Georgia also gave two interviews on GMTV and Lorraine and I've added 2 Higher Quality versions of these interviews; GMTV (6 mins, 95MB), Lorraine (6.5 mins, 105 MB) - right click and Save As...

3rd February -  Happy Birthday Ben Turner!

Many happy returns to Ben Turner who played Ruth's partner in Casualty, nurse Jay Faldren, who is 32 today. Georgia saw Ben in his current play which ends tomorrow, Richard II at the Donmar Warehouse Theatre in London, last week. Georgia's own birthday is, of course, coming up soon.

30th January - Lewis Music Recorded

There's a photograph of the creators of the Lewis music together with Kevin Whately, for Georgia's episode of Lewis on the DNA Music Facebook page. Again this page highlights that Georgia's episode, Fearful Symmetry, is the final of the four in the series despite the imdb page saying its the second episode.

Daphne Alexander @alexdaphne (Nadia in Casualty) plays a legal intern in the political thriller film The Ghost (Writer) debuting tonight on Channel Four @21:00.

29th January - New Poll

Thanks to all who voted in the poll "What did you like best about the new look Casualty?". It was a close result but the new ED exterior came out on top slightly ahead of the new doctor.

The new poll asks what you think Georgia's Lewis character's role will be?

29th January - Angela and Georgia

Georgia's friend, Angela Lonsdale (the real one, not the fake one), is now actively on twitter here, @angelalonsdale. I found a lovely photograph (right) of Georgia and Angela in Dublin at the Irish TV channel TV3's third birthday celebrations in September 2001.

A big development on the Lewis news front! Georgia's character in Lewis, according to the Lewis Fearful Symmetry imdb page, is called Honey Addams! Georgia is also quite high in the cast too - although I think its alphabetical.

Here are a couple of new photographs of Georgia showing some leg at her first ever appearance at the National Television Awards in 1997 and at her latest appearance in 2008, the last ever at the Royal Albert Hall. Part I  Part II (Right Click and Save As...)

14th January - Gary Kemp in Lewis

According to his website, former Spandau Ballet band member turned actor, Gary Kemp, is appearing in Georgia's episode of Lewis as a character called Tom Garland. Gary was also in one of Georgia's recent Casualty episodes, Divine Intervention (July 9th 2011), although they weren't in the same scenes together.

9th January - 5 Years Ago Today

It was five years ago today that Georgia appeared on the Paul O'Grady Show with her red hair to promote Lilies which was to be shown on BBC1 the following evening. I've uploaded a higher quality version of the interview in 3x50MB mpeg parts;

The episode also features Garth Simpson who plays Lewis's baby grandson.

8th January - Charlotte Salt holby.tv Interview

Charlotte Salt, who plays Dr Sam Nicholls in Casualty, has done a new interview with the holby.tv website. In the interview she mentions that Georgia and Ben were the life and soul of the show and that they came down to the Cardiff set to do a bit of "ADR". According to wikipedia, ADR is Additional Dialogue Recording. So some of Georgia's final Casualty dialogue could well have been spoken in Wales!

Update: From a TV magazine interview (thanks to Mark C from holby.tv forums), Charlotte on her blue boiler suit outfit;

"All I get to wear in 'Casualty' is a blue boiler suit. But at least it means I can have a big lunch! Georgia Taylor (Ruth) told me to look at it like I get to wear my PJs all day"

6th January - New Georgia Interview

Georgia has given a fascinating interview (pdf file) about the filming of her mental health Casualty storyline to the Time Together magazine. In the interview she describes the details of acting the storyline like how she'd look at corners of the room to simulate hearing voices in her head.

The first all cast photograph has been produced in the new Cardiff studio set, for this Saturday's episode of Casualty, and obviously there are a couple of omissions from the Bristol cast.

Actress Jessica Johnson who starred with Georgia in the Girls' Club did a recent interview for the North East Journal newspaper about her production company Pink Lane Productions and the article features a lovely photograph of the Girls' Club cast. 2nd January - Georgia Misses Out :(

Georgia has unfortunately missed out on this year's National Television Awards Best Female Drama Performance shortlist. The full lists of nominees can be found on the unrealitytv.co.uk website here.

1st January - Happy New Year 2012!!

A very Happy New Year to Georgia and to all the visitors to the site over the past year. Thanks for all the lovely comments I've received about the site in the past 12 months and thanks to Georgia for being so nice and making my year at the Comic Relief Jump the Sack!

It was very sad year with Georgia leaving Casualty after some of her best ever acting performances, and it probably won't sink in until the series resumes next week, but it will make 2012 an exciting time to see what new project Georgia will do next. Personally I'd love to see Georgia do some theatre.

Also good luck to Georgia for the upcoming announcement of the NTA Best Female Drama Performance shortlist!

31st December - New youtube Find!

The last day of the year has unearthed another gem on youtube  - the video of the CITV Awards 1997. Georgia and Jane as pantomime characters, Ulrika and Anthea, perform a sketch with Shane Ritchie and present the Most Fanciable Boy Award to Peter Andre. Georgia and Jane appear @13:53 in the Part III video.

I also have 2 HQ photos from these awards on the Georgia and Jane photo shoot page.

19th December - Rosie Available For Hire

The VW Camper Van Ruth and Jay drove away from Bristol in is called Rosie according to the VW Retro Rentals Facebook page. You too can hire Rosie from the VW Retro Rentals website and drive a piece of Casualty history!

A quote from the website reads, Rosie's ideal companions are "A couple looking for a charming camper for a romantic mini-break, marriage proposal or honeymoon".

13th December - Ruth in the Casualty Opening Titles
Series 22/23 Series 24 Series 25/26
11th December - The Final Bristol Scene

It was a great honour for Georgia and Ben to be given the final ever Casualty scene filmed in Bristol. It also took place on Clifton Suspension Bridge in a VW, the same bridge Charlie first drove into Casualty in his yellow Beetle in the first ever episode back in 1986.

The bridge also featured in the first episode of Series 23 when Charlie gave Tess, Toby, Noel and Ruth a lift to work in his vintage car.

10th December - Ruth And Jay Survive!!!

After avoiding any spoilers all day after Sunetra's naughty white lie interview this morning I didn't know if Ruth and Jay would survive - in fact I thought they might both be goners and Georgia might die on screen for the first time in her career. It was such a relief that they got their happy ending - the traditional exit across Brunel's Clifton Suspension Bridge! It was the best ending possible.

It was also lovely that Zoe mentioned Georgia's real name, Claire Jackson, in one of the early scenes as a nice tribute to all the time Georgia has spent being brilliant and working very hard on making Ruth such a special and all time great Casualty character. And now she might even return one day!

10th December - Ruth And Jay To Be Killed Off?

In an interview with today's Daily Mail Weekend magazine, On Set With Sunetra Sarker, Sunetra says "But the real sadness is saying goodbye to the actors whose characters are killed off in the fire." So could this be the end for Ruth and Jay?

Georgia has revealed today, in an article for Press Association, that she'd love to return to Corrie as Toyah Battersby. She says in the interview;

"I’d never say never because I do really love the show."

2nd December - New Poll

Not long now until the great fire of Holby which promises to be like a cross between Towering Inferno and the Poseiden Adventure! According to the last poll Ruth and Jay should be OK as 80% thought they'd both survive, with slightly more thinking Jay would die rather than Ruth.

The new poll asks if you'll still be watching Casualty after Georgia leaves?

So we not only get to see Ruth in action scenes but in HD action scenes!

28th November - This Week's Magazines

There's not much about Ruth's storyline in this week's TV magazines (out early this week) which mainly focus on Linda's drugs storyline. However the previews for next week's magazines suggest they are going to contain sensational Ruth coverage!

This Saturday's Casualty is Georgia's 175th episode (not including her 2 Red Button episodes).

The Simply TV blog has a couple of photographs from Ruth's baby scan here.

19th November - Leanne and Claire Battersby?

A revelation to come out of Bruce Jones new autobiography, Les Battersby And Me, was that Toyah Battersby was originally going to be called Claire Battersby! That would have been confusing since Georgia's real name is also Claire!

A couple of extracts from Bruce's book;

On the formation of the Battersbys;

The character of Toyah was originally going to be called Claire but I guess they wanted a punk kind of name for her. I remember Georgia being so worried that she wasn't going to get the part after her audition and the rest of us were trying to reassure her that she had nothing to worry about. She rang me the next day and she was so happy. She'd had a call to say that she had landed the role. It was one of those moments where 'I told you so' doesn't sound bad at all. The Battersbys were good to go!

On the abuse the Battersby family initially received from the public;

Jane and Georgia coped with a lot at that time and I'm so glad that both have gone on to achieve what they have. To play the type of characters they did, get the abuse they received, and still come out of the other side, as the lovely girls they always were at the start, isn't the easier thing to do when you're playing in to millions of people's homes every night as the horrible family.

1st November - No Ruth Mentions In Magazines

There was no mention of Ruth in today's TV magazines in relation to this Saturday's Casualty so I'm guessing it might be a purely pushing trolleys rolling over patients type of episode.

22nd October - Tonight's Casualty

Ruth returned looking lovely as ever in tonight's Casualty. Its hard to believe and sad to think that we'll over see her for a handful more episodes though. The E.D. won't be the same without her. Vicky Binns stole the episode as far as the patients were concerned. She was excellent.

22nd October - New Poll

15th October - Farewell Betty :(

Betty Driver, who played Betty Turpin in Coronation Street for over 40 years, has sadly passed away this morning aged 91. It seemed like Betty, who was still working behind the Rovers bar aged 90, would go on forever. Toyah worked with Betty behind the bar for over a year and on one memorable occasion they both went on strike to protest against having to wear sexy staff outfits.

My favourite scene between Toyah and Betty was just before Betty's 80th/retirement party when Betty had a heartfelt chat with Toyah. I've uploaded the scene here. (Right Click and Save As).

8th July - No Ruth in 16th July Casualty :(

Georgia continues her recent run of intermittent appearances in Casualty as she isn't on the official BBC Casualty website cast list (spoilers) for the episode showing on 16th July, Pascal's Wager. There are only 3 more episodes after this one in the series so there's not much time left to learn to skydive (If it is Ruth in the preview clip!).

With the final episode being on August 6th this will probably be Lucy's departure episode. The episode was filmed at Holby International airport (in April at Cheltenham racecourse) so she could be departing on a jet plane.

8th July - Lucy Gaskell Leaving Casualty

Georgia's high school friend Lucy Gaskell who plays nurse Kirsty Clements in Casualty is leaving the show according to the holby.tv news page. Her final appearance will be in August. Lucy is also expecting a baby this month! Its a shame that Georgia and Lucy's characters never really had a storyline together although they were told off for giggling together on set!

7th July - New Poll

Also Casualty will be filmed in HD from Episode 15 of the new series!

He mentions that his favorite storyline from the current series was Ruth's descent into serious illness and that his favourite episode was the one entirely set in Ruth's psychiatric ward because of the fantastic acting from Georgia, Derek and Matthew!

5th July - Lots of Georgia this Saturday :)

According to today's TV magazines Ruth features in two storyline threads in this week's Casualty. She helps Dylan with a homeless girl patient and also Charlie gets her to look after his grandchild Megan (as seen in preview video). If this wasn't enough Georgia then eagle eyed viewers can spot her in the audience of the repeated Michael McIntyre's Comedy Roadshow from the Bristol Hippodrome at 22:50.

3rd July - Radio Times Cast for 16th July

Once again the The Radio Times have only given a short cast list (spoilers) for the 16th July episode of Casualty, Pascal's Wager, so there's no way of telling yet if Georgia is in this episode or not.

2nd July - Ruth Returns Next Week!

No Ruth this evening but good news about next week! Despite not being mentioned in the original cast list, Georgia has now been added to the cast list for the 9th July Casualty and even appears in the preview video!

26th June - Last Night's Casualty

It was great to see lots of Ruth again in last night's episode! This episode was filmed during the week of her appearance on the Graham Norton Show radio show (right) back on the 12th March. Unfortunately it appears Ruth is away once more as she's not in next week's episode and, according to the Radio Times spoilers, there are only five characters in the following week show on 9th July.

Toyah's former boyfriend, college lecturer John Arnley, made yet another appearance as DC Redfearn in tonight's Corrie. This time he was investigating John Stape's disappearance. 26th April - No BAFTA for Georgia :(

Georgia didn't make the 4 nominees in today's BAFTA nominations for Best Actress. Its a real travesty as her performance in the Place Of Safety episode was more than worthy of winning the award. Casualty has, however, been nominated again in the Continuing Drama category alongside Waterloo Road, Coronation Street and Eastenders.

23rd April - Happy Easter!

Happy Easter to Georgia and all the site visitors!

Cheltenham racecourse wasn't a racecourse after all but was transformed into Holby International Airport where a dramatic episode is being filmed where "a lot of people come and go" according to an article on today's thisIsGloucestershire website. The episode is due to be shown on August 6th.

22nd April - Lights, Camera, Rollers!

Jill Conway, the Casualty makeup and prosthetics designer for the past 15 years, has produced a behind the scenes video showing the process of  making up the actors and how she watches each scene for continuity on a large monitor. Jill can be seen making up Georgia whilst Georgia is also having a hair roller applied, but she's far more attractive than Hilda Ogden ever was!

22nd April - A Day At The Races?

There are several twitter messages relating to Casualty filming scenes at Cheltenham racecourse this week and Georgia was also spotted in Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago. Given that Casualty films 3-4 months ahead could this be an end of series finale with a more successful VIP trip to the races than the previous trip Ruth tried to organise? The contrast in Ruth's popularity with the staff would make a nice end to the series.

21st April - New BBC Casualty Spoilers

The BBC Programme Information spoilers are out today for the episode of Casualty showing on 7th May and there's a major spoiler regarding Polly.

3rd April - Last Night's Casualty

Another brilliant episode of Casualty again and there was a very clever use of flashback to make it appear that Ruth might have cut herself. The scenes with Ruth and the jogging shoes and running with Charlie were really lovely and Ruth appears to have turned a big corner in her recovery. There was also a nice scene with Sarah Evans outside the Cafe whilst it was snowing!

22nd March - BBC Casualty Cut Backs

Today's Guardian has quoted from a National Audit Office report that the BBC has spent 20% per cent less on their 6 TV Soaps in the past eight years. Interesting Casualty details from the report (pdf) are;

  • The Casualty budget was reduced from 22.8m in 2009-10 to 21.8m in 2010-11.
  • Casualty is the most expensive soap to produce at over 9 pence per viewer per hour compared to the cheapest, Eastenders, which costs less then 4 pence per viewer per hour.
  • Casualty savings have been made by reducing the number of regular cast from 18 in 2007-08 to 16 in 2009-2010 and by reducing the number of stunts.
  • 5.2 million pounds was budgeted for talent in 2010-11 which includes fees paid to regular cast members, semi-regular cast members, extras and other cast-related costs such as stunt artists, stunt arrangers and chaperones.
20th March - Long Time No See

William Beck who plays new Casualty doctor, Dylan Keogh, in an interview with holby.tv mentioned that he "already knew Georgia (Taylor) and Jane (Hazlegrove) from my own dark past- their secrets are safe with me- and that helped a good deal.". William played a regular character (army pathologist Sgt. Maj. Steve Forney) on the Red Cap series when Georgia made her guest appearance as pregnant army widow, Tricia Stebbings. The series was filmed in Germany in the summer of 2003.

It doesn't appear that Georgia attended last night's RTS Awards ceremony at the Grosvenor House Hotel. Casualty was represented by Sunetra Sarker (Zoe) and Suzanne Packer (Tess). Coincidently the same pairing attended last year's BAFTAs when Casualty also lost out to Eastenders!

The new poll asks, in this packed week of features for Georgia fans, which was your favourite?

12th March - Tonight's Casualty

Georgia was amazing again in tonight's Casualty. It was a heart warming scene in the Wendy House with Charlie and Georgia looked stunning when trying on dresses in the shop. That made a much better scene than a scene buying fridges would have been. The Red Button episode was very good too in a Talking Heads kind a way.

12th March - Georgia Graham Norton Photos

The Graham Norton website has a couple of lovely photos of Georgia from today's show, here and here!

12th March - Georgia on Graham Norton Radio Show

There's some good and bad news in today's nominations for the Royal Television Society Awards 2011. Toyah phoned Leanne in tonight's Corrie to apologise, presumably about not being able to come to her blessing with Peter. Leanne said it was OK and said "big kisses" to her. In the eight years since Toyah left Corrie I think its the first time she's called!

10th February - New BBC Casualty Spoilers

Ruth isn't mentioned in today's BBC Programme Information spoilers for the episode of Casualty showing on 26th February, Boys Will Be Boys. This is of course Georgia's birthday! There's also a feature on Casualty's links with the Oscars on the BBC site.

8th February - Ruth back on the 19th Feb!

Although Ruth isn't in the cast list for this Saturday's Casualty she is back on the 19th February episode, 'Til Death Do Us Part, according to the Radio Times cast list (spoilers). As this is Episode 25 we should see the final Ruth scenes from the Eps. 13 to 25 preview video, the ones of Ruth walking into the E.D. in her bare feet.

7th February - Over 6 million watch Georgia

Casualty pulled in 6.1 million viewers on Saturday night which is a very respectable figure and higher than its been for a long time. This was exactly the same amount of viewers that later watched Match of the Day - probably the best ever Casualty and the best ever Match of the Day on the same night! Source: Mediatel.

6th February - New Poll

Thanks to all who voted in the previous poll, What happens at the night club?. It seems along time ago now after recent events but the result can be seen here.

5th February - Georgia Trends On Twitter

Many thanks to Lauren for sending a picture (left) of Georgia trending on twitter this evening. Lots of people have been praising Georgia's acting on there tonight and saying that she should be nominated for an award.

5th February - Georgia's Finest Performance

Georgia was absolutely remarkable in tonight's episode of Casualty. I think it must be the finest performance of her career to date and all the talent, effort and hard work she put in over the past months really paid off in style. Georgia must be put up for a BAFTA this year otherwise the awards have no meaning. Well done to Matthew Kelly who was immense as well.

I'll take some time do the captures this week as Georgia was in every scene!

5th February - Behind The Scenes

The Digital Spy website has some behind the scenes photographs of Matthew Kelly filming with Georgia for tonight episode of Casualty.

I've uploaded the Casualty part of the interview here [Right Click, "Save As" - 29M].

Matthew Kelly's appearance on tomorrow's Daybreak seems to have moved to the Lorraine show so I don't know if he's on both shows or just Lorraine.

1st February - Mental Health Charities Praise Ruth's Storyline

In a very interesting article in this week's Radio Times mental health charities Mind and SANE have both praised Ruth's breakdown storyline and in particular the way continuing dramas are uniquely placed to cover the long term onset and recovery processes.

1st February - Georgia and Derek Film Away From Casualty Studio

Georgia mentions in an interview with this week's Inside Soap magazine how Derek Thompson (Charlie) and herself spent 3 months filming Ruth's recovery storyline in a separate location away from the Casualty studio. "It feels like we've been off doing our own little film", Georgia revealed.

31st January - Mary and Jim

The actress who plays Mary, Phillipa Peak, in Ruth's flashback scenes during this Saturday's episode was once in Casualty before back in January 2008. She died in a road traffic accident following a fall from a bridge by a graffiti artist whom Ruth later treated.

The actor who plays the fellow patient Jim, Sam Crane, whom Ruth becomes romantically involved with, won the Nicholas Hytner award for best actor in his year at the London Academy of Music and Dramatic Arts.

Congratulations to Casualty director Ian Barnes, who this week was nominated for an Oscar in the category of Live Action Short for his film Wish 143. I managed to dig out and upload a previous scene of Georgia's where she played a mentally unstable patient who is restrained by staff. 25th January - No Toyah at Leanne's Wedding

There's no sign of Toyah at her sister Leanne's wedding in photos revealed today by The Daily Mail. Jane Danson looks really lovely in her wedding dress though.

Its a little late but here is the link to the BBC Programme Information Casualty spoilers for the episode showing on the 5th February, Place Of Safety. This is the episode where Ruth is treated by psychiatric consultant Andrew Brookfield, played by Matthew Kelly.

23rd January - Toyah in Amsterdam!

In last Monday's Coronation Street Janice announced to Leanne that Toyah had invited her to stay with her in Amsterdam. Unfortunately in Thursday's episode Toyah had the flu and had to renege her offer.

23rd January - Ruth Nightclubbing Video

Swuzzie has made a very creative video of last week's night club episode of Casualty, to the music of Hey Baby (Drop It to the Floor), and uploaded it to youtube. Its well worth a watch and can be found here.

22nd January - Plaudits To Georgia.

Georgia has always been a brilliant actress but she took things to a new level in tonight's Casualty particularly during the final scene when she was led away by the police. This scene was reminiscent of Denise Williams being led away for questioning in Life On Mars but on a much more intense scale and the past two episodes have been far removed from anything she's ever done before. Hopefully a BAFTA for Best Actress could be a real possibility this year.

18th January - Ruth and Charlie In Red Button Episodes

According to this week's TV Times magazine, Ruth and Charlie will be the subject of 2 special mental health episodes of Casualty to be shown on the Red Button in March. Also there is a big interview with Georgia and Lucy Gaskell too but I can't scan this until the weekend as I'm not the country and this explains why there is no video from last Saturday's episode yet :(

18th January - New Georgia TV Choice Interview

Georgia has done a really revealing interview with TV Choice magazine online in which she reveals what it was like playing a bipolar patient and the recovery process which will take Ruth 3 months.

17th January - Georgia In The Weekly News

According to a post on the holby.tv forum, Georgia is on the cover of next week's The Weekly News and will be interviewed inside. The paper, although Scottish, is available nationally so its worth keeping an eye out for it in the shops when it comes out, either on Wednesday or Thursday.

16th January - Last Night's Casualty

Georgia's performance was absolutely immense in last night's Casualty in some of the most dramatic scenes she's ever done. The scene where Ruth was explaining her efforts at improving the E.D. to Barry was brilliantly acted and very moving.

The flashbacks were really cleverly put together with the merging of Ruth's notes with scenes from the nightclub. There was a little continuity error where Ruth was wearing shoes on the dance floor and then boots in the night club corridor.

Update: 17/01. There wasn't a continuity error - It was another girl walking across the dance floor.

14th January - What's On TV Spoilers

The What's On TV spoilers for next week's episode of Casualty, Choose Your Illusion, provide more details of Ruth's deteriorating behavior.

12th January - Matthew Kelly

Today's Sun online TV Biz gives a brief mention to Matthew Kelly's upcoming role in Casualty. It states that he plays a psychiatrist and that his role airs in the spring. Given that he appears in the Episodes 13-25 preview video and we're almost at Episode 20 it must be very early spring!

11th January - New Ruth Still

The BBC Casualty website has now uploaded a new still of Georgia from this Saturday on its episode preview page. (Thanks georgiatfan!)

9th January - New Poll

Thanks to all who voted for their favourite Georgia Casualty episode of 2010. The most popular episode was Hands On where Ruth pretends to be Staff Nurse Summers to try and fool Jay's nan. Second was A Day In The Life Of - Part I (Adam and Jessica's wedding/Ruth agrees to Jay moving in) and third was The Enemy Within (Ruth runs out into the rain after discovering Edward's homosexual affair). The full results are here.

The new poll asks what you think happens in next Saturday's dramatic episode.

8th January - Tonight's Casualty

Ruth looked really nice at the end of tonight's episode but its not looking good for her in next week's episode. The BBC Casualty website now has the preview video and I think Ruth should have gone to the pub with Tess and Zoe.

5th January - Congratulations to Georgia and Tristan!

This Saturday's Casualty is significant in that its both Georgia's and Tristan's 150th episode! They began their Casualty careers at the beginning of Series 22 and appeared in their first scene together (opposite) in an episode called Meltdown on September 15th 2007.

I've uploaded a video (right click and Save Link As) of their first scene.

3rd January - Pete Postlethwaite Dies

3rd January - Georgia and Casualty Lose out in the NTA Shortlists :(

Unfortunately neither Georgia or Casualty made the shortlists for Drama Performance and Drama National Television Awards announced today. In late September and early October when the voting took place Georgia wasn't involved in a big Casualty storyline so hopefully, when the BAFTAs arrive later in the year, she'll get the recognition her recent performances have deserved.

2nd January - Tonight's Casualty

There were some lovely scenes between Georgia and Wendy Craig in tonight's episode who at her Bufferflies best. Poor Ruth seems to be living in the On Call room when she should be taking Edward for every penny he's got.

2nd January - Almost Famous 4

Both Georgia and Jane Danson featured in last night's Almost Famous 4 on BBC3. Jane was shown in a cricket related children's programme called Sloggers from 1994 and Georgia was shown with Duncan Bannatyne in a scene from the 2003 Girls' Club

BBC3 are repeating the programme nearly every day this week.

1st January - Happy New Year!

Happy 2011 to everyone! A big year lies ahead with the move to Cardiff. Hope its a very happy one for Georgia whatever she decides to do!
