Ruth's brother Jonathon turns up at the ED with a wound. Ruth initially gets security to throw him out but when she later finds out Jonathon helped paramedics in finding an injured security guard, Mick (who has developed a crush on Ruth from admiring her from afar on CCTV and who dies whilst being treated by her) , she invites him home.
